About Me

As an artist I am privileged to be able to help people express their distinctiveness through their choice of clothing. My hand-felted garments and accessories allow women to express their personalities and individuality.

The same principles and passion I use as a painter are employed in my felting. Playfulness, whimsy, and a strong sense of color remain consistent across the media. For me the purpose of making art has always been about the process of discovery and exploration—not only of the medium, but of the voice inside me. This journey is full of surprises, challenges, and beauty. It is what keeps me going.

Trained as a painter and working in oil for more than 25 years, I have enjoyed gallery affiliations in Atlanta and Charlotte, along with many exhibitions throughout the Southeast. I turned my attention to fiber in 2008 when I moved to the mountains in North Carolina and started a hobby farm. Sheep were part of my new family and then became my medium.
